Jet lag really bites...we were up again this morning around 12:30am and didn't get back to sleep until 2am (better than the night before though!). Slept in until 8:30am though. Had a nice breakfast of bagels and jam and "read" the newspaper on-line. We got the computer problems figured out for now....including needing to get a different adapter plug.
Today we met up with my cousin Nesba and her 12 year old daughter Madeley. They helped us learn how to navigate the Tube (subway) and we went to a really fun play park in Hyde Park. It has a Peter Pan theme and is in tribute to Princess Diana. The picture is Sean and Madeley on the pirate ship. The other picture is our family at the park. (sorry it is sideways - I haven't figured out how to turn it!) It looks pretty tropical, but it is REALLY COLD today!! Below freezing for sure. It was sunny earlier today, but got cloudy and the wind picked up. Yesterday it was pretty nice -sunny and around 40 degrees. Hasn't rained...yet. But there are leaves on the bushes and some trees are wanting to flower, so spring is hopefully coming soon!!! We went to an Indian restaurant for a late lunch, then back to the play park until it closed at 4pm. We wanted to walk around some more, but it was just too cold...I needed some boots for today's weather! So took the Tube home and are warming up with hot chocolate.
Tomorrow we'll navigate the Tube during rush hour - we'll be going to FIE to check in and get Mike settled. I kind of forgot he has to work while we're here....
